25th Annual Scientific Conference of the Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand
Bariatric surgery is a relatively young surgical field. This makes it one of the more exciting areas of general surgery as we are constantly learning about how to better perform the procedures, when we should offer the procedures and what outcomes we can expect from the procedures.
The theme of the OSSANZ Conference 2013 is “Beyond Metabolic Surgery”, which will explore the ever expanding role of bariatric surgery in the care of the obese patient. Our diverse programme provides opportunity for registrants to interact with local and international faculty, learning more about the techniques and rationales for bariatric surgery, whilst challenging the boundaries of what bariatric surgery can provide for our patients.
