NOTE: This is not a comprehensive Marine Biology App, it is purely an identification resource App with a selection of fish found in the region.
No web connection required, images placed right at your fingertips, anytime, anywhere.
The area of distribution of Fishes displayed in this Marine Fish ID App covers the huge area that is the Great Barrier Reef and the entire coast of Queensland. Of course many of the species are not limited to this area and the majority of species are found in many locations within the Pacific Ocean and a large number occur across the Indo-Pacific. However, for the purpose of this Marine Fish ID App, only those species known from the waters of the Great Barrier Reef and Queensland are included.
Marine Fish Facts - Information about Fish, what they are and what makes them so interesting and unique in the underwater world.
Species - An alphabetical listing of the species of Fish to be found in a scrollable index that provides access to individual species pages containing a large photo and information about the selected species.
Families - Descriptions of the Families represented in this App providing external morphology information that allows comparison and contrast between the Families.
Images - The Images Gallery is a scrollable screen of Fish thumbnails. They are presented 4 across the screen providing 24 "at a glance" images.
Search - Full search ability. Search for information from the Species pages. Use whole or parts of text.
The Apps are designed for Smartphone devices. When the Apps are viewed on larger devices the photos may not be as sharp due to size restrictions by Android.
I value your feedback. If you think there is an error or if you wish to discuss a species identification please email Jorina directly firstname.lastname@example.org in order for it to be resolved. Thank you.
