The theme of the Methodist Church Nigeria for 2016, Chosen to Bear Fruit (John 15:16), is quite informative. John 15 contains one of the major teachings that Jesus Christ gave to His disciples. The Lord emphasizes that they should abide in Him as the branches of a vine, and that as the branches could not bear fruit without the main stock, they also would not be able to do anything without Christ. Jesus specifically told them that He had chosen them for the purpose of bearing fruit that will have eternal value. Hence, you and I as God’s children have been chosen to bear fruit of righteousness – Godly character, to produce new believers -win souls, to excel in your academic or career, and in terms of offering good leadership and positive contribution to the development of the society and the Church.
For you to be adequately prepared or nurtured to bear fruit for yourself, the Church and the kingdom of God, we have this wonderful and inspired package of Young Minds Daily Reflections for your daily spiritual meal. The spiritual nurture you will get from this will make you a highly productive child of God. Thank God, we now have it available on ‘google play store’.
