In the first centuries of Christianity in one of the trading towns on the Mediterranean coast were two of the merchant, who was named Alcaeus and Gifas. Both of them went to sea in a small boat, which now would be called ladeyu. They traded with, and sometimes also with small boats attacked and robbed them. His last work, that is, robbery, and Alcaeus Gifas concealed, but it was more profitable trade. From such a double harvest, both the merchant became rich and lived in prosperity. They had the best house in the settlement of all gardens and buildings and a warm bath.
Gifas Alcaeus was older and had a wife Efrosin, too, is an elderly woman and her son Prudentius, and Alcaeus was younger Gifasa for ten years and recently married a young and very beautiful, kind and sensible girl, who was called Melita.
