Living and loving this business of show, Sidi Henderson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio September 12th 1964. In film, he’s most known for his “everyman” roles and will have a supporting part in the upcoming film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Most recently he’s appeared in Sparkle (2012), The Owner (2012) and Misled (2013). He lived in Detroit for several years before moving to Washington D.C.
Sidi moved back to Michigan in the early 80’s, where he studied Broadcasting and Theatre at Central Michigan University. There, he booked concerts, chaired the university’s entertainment organization, began his voice acting career cutting spots for radio stations and trained in the Theatre Department. He also co-founded and played bass guitar in a rock band where he developed a thorough understanding of the music business.
After graduation, Sidi worked on air and as a producer in Detroit radio while acting in industrial films and voicing national radio and TV commercials. He made his film debut co-starring with Judd Nelson in the psychological thriller, Nevermore (2007). When he’s not acting, Sidi is the lead singer of Detroit’s premiere horn band, Mainstreet Soul. He also plays bass with other groups including a band that specializes in original rock music for kids. He has two sons, a large extended family and lives in Detroit with his fiancée. He looks forward to being next in a long line of success stories from the Motor City.
