This is a most needed app for you local Town Clerks, County Clerks, businesses, and schools. This app shows our deliver and updating service schedule, let known our contacts, prices, blogs, etc...Over the last several months we have become acutely aware how fast our important permanent records can be damaged or destroyed. I have received many phone calls from the field asking for help to gather information and /or assist to film Land Records, Plat Maps, Town Minutes, etc., In order to have a more safe and secure situation.
Every town works just a little different and we try to work with each one individually to help you reach your goals. Many of you now so acutely aware of the importance are looking for ways to make sure your records are permanently secure. We would love to visit with you and work through the pros and cons of your thoughts so that you will have a solid foundation for programs going forward. I know many of you will be preparing your 2013 Budget before long and you will need Price information but before making any final moves let’s talk. We will be happy to meet with you at any time. Your books are secure but also accessible should you need copies while they are in our possession. Microfilming works hand in hand with digitizing and any other program that comes along in the future for those who want to go that route. Some want to pass the filming part and just scan but that is not a responsible way of protection, because you are not building a solid foundation framework. It is so important that your records are filmed first and foremost. Once your documents are filmed they can be digitized for your computer. The one point I must stress is the importance of filming as that is a photo and the most secure way of keeping the record intact. These records must remain secure for all time. We cannot and should not look down the road 2-5 years like so many, but 100 years or more into the future.
One question we are often asked is regarding time frame. 15 books usually take a week to film, depending on number of pages.
We are a locally owned Vermont Company by Vermont folk. We have been in business nearly forty years and we have loved history of our great state. You have all worked hard to preserve your history. For that you must be commended. We hope you continue forward and we want you to know we are there and willing to assist, when you are ready to update your next group of documents.
Enclosed is our General Price List. IN the meantime we hope to share your goals and discuss ways of achieving them without breaking the bank as the saying goes.
