The time sheet can store hours and dates for each day of the week including Saturday and Sunday. It can save the types of hours as regular work hours, pto (paid time off) hours and holiday hours. It also retains information such as employee name, phone number and email address as well as the manager name. Any additional information that needs to be stored can be placed in the field with the same name.
When the employee hours are entered, clicking the save button will add the regular hours, pto hours and the holiday hours and put the result in the total column of the same row. In addition, the columns are added downward and the result is placed in the total row. Entries made in the total row or columns cannot be saved directly but the sum is saved with the Save button along with the logged hours.
The timesheet is saved to external storage, such as the sdcard, on the device in a directory called Timesheet with the name weekly_timesheet.csv. When ready to be emailed, the time sheet email destination field includes the email addresses of the intended recipients that should be separated by semicolons. Once the destination field is complete, clicking the Submit button will send the time sheet .csv file as an attachment.
When the timesheet file is received in an email, it can be downloaded to the local machine. By clicking on the file, it should open automatically in a spreadsheet application with an import dialog box. At this point, the comma should be selected as the delimiter. After this, the time sheet should be seen as a spreadsheet. Also, the weekly_timesheet.csv file can be opened as a regular text file if necessary.
