Orchard Farm Shop is owned and operated by Chris Cole and his Partner Valerie and specialises in selling quality pork and eggs produced on site. Pigs and chickens have been reared on this site for over 40 years. Traditional straw based buildings are used and animals are feed diets containing natural ingredients such as wheat and barley, much of which is also sourced locally.
The Farm is regularly inspected by our specialist veterinary surgeon to ensure all our animals are happy and healthy.
Pigs are slaughtered at a local abattoir within 15 miles, all transport is carried out by our farm staff and the carcasses are butchered on site. We are keen to promote as lower food miles as possible. All pork is fresh each week and allowed to hang to develop flavours naturally.
All fresh meat not sold on Saturday when the shop closes is frozen and is available for sale.
We are accredited by Norfolk County Council for sale of low salt, gluten free and specialist Slimming world syn-sausages.
Bacons and hams are smoked naturally the old fashion way at a local smoke house. Eggs are produced from Free range chickens on a field adjacent to the shop. Eggs are collected daily and most are sold within 24 hours.
