Vanessa wrote “Funny Jimmy” to inspire children to be all that they can be. She is also the author of the YA novel, “The Beauty Queen and the School Nerd” (August 2007). In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys reading and writing. About the Illustrator Rosemarie Gillen has been a professional illustrator of children’s picture books since 2005. She has won several awards for her illustration work. She is a self-taught artist who is happiest when painting. She currently lives outside of Washington DC with her family.
Many of the pages have an optional “Paint Me” feature for children to finger paint the pages and create their own custom version of the book.
