All Utzons works in one guide
Utzon created The Sydney Opera House that was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007, being one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing art centres in the world.
But Utzon architecture is more far-reaching than The Sydney Opera House. It includes National Assembly of Kuwait, Melli Bank (the University of Tehran) in Iran, the architect’s own houses in Mallorca and many more projects.
The Guide to Utzon will give you access to all these works, and provide you exclusive photos of every work, and a number of sketches and quotes, that explain the idea and concept that Utzon followed in his work.
Utzons own words and sketches describing the idea behind several works. The main principles that characterized Utzon architecture, described by Utzon himself.
Inspiration and philosophy
The Guide to Utzon brings you close to the many sources of inspiration that characterized and influenced Utzons unique design throughout his life. How Utzon was inspired by the Mayan architecture during his travel to Central America and how the Bazaar in the Middle East influences his way of thinking architecture.
The Guide to Utzon interconnects the sources of inspiration with the final buildings that followed in order to give you an in-depth insight into the main principles in Utzon’s architecture.
