A journey to the world of fashion design, accompanied by the story’s hero-you.
A fashion novel that offers readers a glimpse into the fashion design world through different shapes, including circles, triangles, and quadrangles.
Music for the e-book version of this story was contributed by the Korean songwriter Hitchhiker.
In Shaping Your Creativity, you-the hero of the story-go straight to the heart of the fashion design world. After taking in all of the different shapes presented (circles, triangles, quadrangles), you apply them to textiles and ultimately host your own fashion show. The story can be looked at several different ways. It can be an interactive handbook on fashion design, a growth story centered around you (the reader), or it can simply be viewed as a collection of fashion designer/illustrator Suwa’s works.
Music was contributed for the e-book version by Korean famous songwriter Hitchhiker. The background music to the ending of Part II, The Show, has been particularly popular with people, as it goes along beautifully with Suwa’s illustrations.
Suwa graduated from New York’s Parsons School of Design before entering the New York fashion world. She sees fashion as a means of expressing one’s diversity and identity. Her peculiar style encompasses past and present fashion trends in a very sophisticated way. Today, Suwa is expanding the scope of her activities beyond illustration and fashion design, as she works more as a lecturer, author and costume designer for movies.
