Karte is a sales and marketing app developed specifically with very small businesses in mind (artists, independent retailers, flea market sellers, etc...). It is designed to hold and use the most important information in your business routine:
Things - items that you offer for sale. You can "sell" these, creating a sales list that can be printed, exported, and cleared out to suit your needs. You can share these with potential customers via email, twitter, facebook with pictures and descriptions of the items concerned.
People - customers, contacts that you would like to share information with. You can sell items to customers creating custom receipts that you can email or print out. You can email bomb multiple people with information about new items for sale or events (gallery openings, sales, etc) that you would like to notifiy them about. You can also export these contacts to your own address book on iphone or ipad.
*You can use this as an interactive "sign in sheet" to create a customer database!
Events - dates and happenings that you would like to market or otherwise keep track of. You can post these to twitter or facebook, email customers, or link an event to specific items (for example, if certain items were on sale on a given day). You can also export these events to the iphone or ipad calendar app.
All of these can be combined to create custom notifications, receipts or schedules as you decide works for you.
All data produced in any one device can be easily shared using the iTunes apps file sharing facility.
