The UNIVERSAL CONDITION REPORT app is intended for authorized car dealerships and auction companies only.
The Universal Condition Report (UCR) is a vehicle inspection and reporting system for (1) assessing the condition of vehicles purchased for resale, and (2) disclosing inspection information to buyers in an easy, interactive report format. The UCR vehicle report enables buyers to quickly determine features and known damage, and their impacts on the resale value of the vehicle.
The app for iPad 2 and iPad 3 and higher is an inspectors tool for thoroughly and quickly documenting the inspector's observations, paint meter readings, photographs, and notes. Features include VIN barcode scanning and decoding to minimize manual input of make and model information; make and model-specfic checklists to speed data entry; ability to quickly jump to specific sections of the vehicle to document issues; background syncing of completed CRs so the inspector may work on other vehicles while the CR and photos are sent to the servers; ability to move a CR from one tablet to another (via the UCR server) so a second inspector may continue where the first inspector left off.
Condition reports data and photographs are synced to the UCR website, where a reviewer may add title and other information which may not have been available at the time of inspection. Photographs may also be uploaded via the website. Upon final review, approval, and publishing, the condition report becomes viewable on the web and on devices.
Because a live connection may not always be available at the vehicle's location, the app works in both offline and online modes. Syncing resumes whever the device is within range of wi-fi or carrier signal. NOTE: Because the CRs may include a large number of high resolution photographs, the user may specify that syncing take place over wi-fi only to avoid excess data charges from your mobile carrier.
