RetailScanner uses the very fast built-in iOS 7 library for EAN-13, EAN-8 and QR-code scanning. The scanned code numbers are stored in the Core Data of the iPhone, so many thousands of numbers can be stored during a professional scanning.
From time to time a barcode on a retail packing cannot be scanned due to a printing error. If barcode cannot be scanned it can be entered in this scanner manually.
A scanned code can be edited. A note can be added/edited to any code number.
Scanned codes are shown in the list so that the latest scanned code is at the top. However the list of barcodes is sent in order so that the first code number is at top.
Codes and dates are separated in the email list by a TAB character, and a note with two TAB character.
The list of scanned codes can be cleared, and scanning can be started over.
The registered date and time of each scan could be useful for relating a scanned code to a taken photo of a product.
The RetailScanner works in portrait orientation mode.
