We are an Ofsted registered, voluntary, non-profit group based at Hoylake Community Centre running a holiday playscheme for children aged 5-11 years between Monday 3rd and Friday 14th August 2015 from 8:30am and 6pm. We offer flexible hours so you can book your child a place for 2 hours, 5 hours or a full day...whatever suits your needs! We very much believe in 'free play' whereby children have many oppurtunities to play with what they want and are given freedom of choice. Some decide to play with the activities we have laid out, others will make their own games up. However, we also plan to have at least one group activity during the day, for example baking or outdoor games. See our 'What's On?' page for a list of our planned activities.
We work in a 8:1 ratio (1 adult to every 8 children) but have extra volunteers to help out. We have space for up to 24 children. Our aim is to provide children with a safe, stimulating, fun environment to play in with the intention of making this a more regular thing in the future. Activities can include 'messy play', painting, arts and crafts, play-doh, construction toys and role play.
All staff have experience in the childcare field and ALL have the necessary disclosures which will be available to view if necessary throughout. We have a full safeguarding and risk assessment policy and are fully insured. Ofsted have also been made aware of our playscheme. Correspondence between us, policies and disclosure checks will be kept on site at all times.
