You should only download this if you want to completely and utterly waste your time playing a game with seemingly arbitrary and opaque rules.

I admit, I did get sucked into it for quite some time and it does present you with challenges to overcome. However, it's not possible to develop any sort of real strategy since it's hard to figure out what all the little bonuses do that blow up the other blocks. So it makes it difficult to plan ahead. Also, it seems that the difficulty adjusts in such a way to entice you to purchase in app cheaters to advance you to the next level. If you just remain stubborn and keep plugging away at the same puzzle without buying bonuses, they'll eventually give you a candy configuration that is easier to solve than those prior. I think that's dirty buisness and has the effect of dulling your mind as opposed to other games that get you thinking and developing various strategies.

If comparing this to a game like Tetris, or even Plants vs Zombies, I'd say that Tetris is like going to the gym for an epic work-out session, while playing this is like going to a KFC Buffet and eating non-stop for an hour. When your done, you feel dumber, nauseous and disappointed in yourself for not having the self control to stop eating those delicious mashed potatoes. But hey, if you're into that... Enjoy!

Sweet Addiction

Candy Crush is a puzzle game similar to Tetris and Bejeweled Blitz. However, instead of cubes or jewels lined up on the board there are, (you guessed it! ), pieces of candy.

The candies come in numerous shapes and colors and the object is to swipe them with your finger in any direction to create sets of three more similar pieces of candy. Once a match has been made, the candies will crush into little pieces and new candies fall into their place.

The larger the match of the same type of candy (i.e 4, 5, 10 pieces in a row) the larger the the candy explosion. Some taking up 3x3 blocks and others exploding entire rows.

The user is given an allotted number of moves per game as well as target number they have to hit in order to pass. Candy matches are worth certain number of points with the larger matches resulting in a larger numbers

Players are given an allotted number of moves as well as a minimum number of points they must hit in order to pass that game.

Users can connect with their friends on Facebook to compete against each other as well as share Candy Crush points (called boosters) to help each other pass through levels.

Annoying songs play throughout the game

Bottom Line
After hearing so much about this game I can see why everyone is so crazy about it. It’s addictive. You want to match those “special” candies to make one giant piece of candy that can crush three entire rows. You want to beat your friends, you want that creepy voice in the app to tell you that the last move you made was “sweet”, and you want to, wait, why am I playing this? There are so many layers to this game with so many different ways to earn points and match candies you forget you’ve been playing for an hour. Bottom line is, it’s fun.

Download with Candy Addiction Caution.
